Magaret "Maggie" Agnes Carney was born 15 October 1918 in Portland, Oregon a couple of minutes before her twin sister Catherine.
She and her sister Katie attended St. Patrick's Elementary School in NW Portland and then St. Mary's Academy. During their sophomore year Katie got sick and had to drop out of school and Margaret did as well. Though there was a brief return to Lincoln High School, neither Katie or Maggie finished. The family lived at 2919 NW Savior in Portland.
The twins, being quite pretty redheads, modeled for Ungar's and Lipmans in Portland. Margaret met John Wilfred McCurdy in Portland during WWII. She moved to San Francisco, CA with her twin for awhile to be nearer to him and they married there in 1947.
Margaret got breast cancer in about 1964 while living in Japan. She died of cancer in San Francisco in 1971. The family lived at 126 Stanford Avenue, Mill Vallley, California at the time.
Margaret lived in the Marina District at 195 Alhambra #11 San Francisco CA in October 1946.
