Seinen Hof Nr. 35 muß er um 1876 an den Schlachter Joachim Heinrich Peter Ehlen aus Zeven verkauft haben. Die Hofstelle wird auch noch geteilt, und das Altenteilerhaus bekommt die Hausnummer 35, und das alte Haupthaus die Nr. 88.
Ehlen hat keinen männlichen Erben, so heiratet der Postbote Heinrich Friedrich Wilhelm Brockmann aus Mellendorf in die Stelle ein. Auch sein Sohn Friedrich B. ist bei der Post beschäftigt. Das Altenteilerhaus gehört inzwischen wieder zum Brockmann - Ehlenhof.
Nachdem Friedrich Brockmann in den Bohlenhof Bissendorf Nr. 38 eingeheiratet hat, wird der Ehlen Hof, wie er jetzt genannt wird, von dort aus bewirtschaftet.
Seine Schwester Anna Brockmann war von 1942 bis 1968 Hebamme in Bissendorf und bewohnte bis zu ihrem Tode ihr Elternhaus.
