Hasenclever, 90, of 1639 330th Ave., Fort Madison, died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2002, at her home. Born July 20, 1911, in Luray, Mo., she was the daughter of George and Genevieve Marmion Medaris. She married Harlan Hasenclever on Oct. 22, 1945. Mrs. Hasenclever was a school teacher at Croton, Wever and Farmington schools. She retired from the Farmers Savings Bank at the Denmark branch. She loved needlepoint, crocheting, crossword puzzles, cooking and spending time in the garden, and enjoyed her extensive collection of elephant figurines. Survivors include her husband; one son, Rex Hasenclever of Wever; one daughter-in-law; three granddaughters; two great-grandsons; one brother, Gene Medaris of Farmington; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one sister and two brothers. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at King-Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral for Mrs. Hasenclever will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in South Walker Cemetery. A memorial has been established. Contributions may be left at the funeral home.
