Lunn Married 03/28/1948 ----------------------------------------------------------- Carl Julius Lunn, 84, passed away on June 25, 2004, at the Stamford Memorial Hospital in Stamford. Funeral services will be held on June 27, 2004, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Sagerton with the Rev. Stan Leaf and Deborah Nissen officiating. Carl was born on November 14, 1919, in Jones County, to John and Mathilda Lunn, who were immigrants from Sweden. Carl mobilized in Stamford in 1940 with "Company K" of the 36th Division, serving in the European Theatre, making the invasion of Salerno and Anzio. He married Berniece Teichelman on March 28, 1948, in Sagerton at Saint Paul Lutheran Church. They made their home in Jones County where he farmed and raised cattle. Carl was an active member of the Faith Lutheran Church where he served on the church council. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the Sons of Herman Lodge in Old Glory. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, five sisters, and one great grandson. Survivors include his wife Berniece Lunn; 4 nieces and their husbands - Patricia Tanner of Oklahoma City, Carol and Tom McKee of Stamford, Kathleen and Jeff Borden of Norman, Oklahoma, and Marilyn and Chris Brasher of Sherman, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a special niece Ethel Bounds; and many relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be - Don Heller, Don Pyron, Dwain Nauert, Ronny Teichelman, Billy Teichelman, and Larry Teichelman. Honorary pallbearers will be "Army Buddies" - Roy Hodgin, Dell Mehaffey, L. C. Rorie, Clarence Teichelman, Bill Williams, and Leroy Vanderworth.
