According to information taken from Fran Webster's obituary that appeared in the Butler Eagle, Butler, Pennsylvania on 5 & 6 of Jan 2003, pgs. 6 & A8, File #649: [Fran Webster] was "born on September 28, 1916 in Harrisville. He was the son of Grover Cleveland Webster and Maida McGill Webster. A graduate of Butler High School, he received a bachelor's degree in education from Slippery Rock University and a master's degree in education from Wesminster College. "He had been a teacher and coach at the University of Pittsburgh and at Westminster College, Hickory High School and Mt. Jackson High School. He also was the author of 'The Ameoba Defense.' (A book used by Pat Riley when he was coaching the Lakers Basketball Team, Los Angeles, California) "Mr. Webster attended Mt. Jackson Presbyterian Church, New Castle. He served in the Army during World War II. Burial will be at the Mt. Jackson Presbyterian Church Cemetery."
