Aus Find A Grave: Birth: Feb. 4, 1879 Johnson County Iowa, USADeath: Jun. 27, 1955 Marengo Iowa County Iowa, USA Marengo, Iowa Newspaper Funeral Services For George Kinzenbaw Held Wednesday Funeral services for George Kinzenbaw, retired Marengo farmer, were held at St. Patrick's church Wednesday morning with Rev. O.H. Kiefer officiating. Burial was in Calvary cemetery. Mr. Kinzenbaw died at his Marengo home early Monday morning. He had been ill for a little more than a week. He had a heart attack two years ago. He was born Feb. 4, 1879, in Johnson county, the son of Jacob and Elizabeth Kinzenbaw and lived all of his life in this area. He married Sophia Haist on Dec. 14, 1903, and they had one son, Kenneth, South Amana. his first wife died June 1, 1905. On Apr. 19, 1910, he married Minnie Jacobs at the St. Patrick's' rectory with Rev. W.E. Carroll reading the service. They had two children, Kalmer, Marengo and Mrs. Arlene Klever, South Amana. Mr. Kinzenbaw farmed east of Marengo and in Iowa township for 35 years before moving to Marengo in 1943. He was a member of the Catholic church. He is survived by his wife, three children and two brothers, Jake, Blairstown and William, Marengo and three sisters, Mrs. Ed Simmons, Marengo, Mrs. Otto Hopp, Williamsburg and Mrs. Walter Olson, Oxford. His parents and three brothers preceded him in death.
