He was born Nov. 9, 1921, in Bangor, son of Fred and Tillie (Marks) Tokio. Andy was a 1940 graduate of Bangor High School and Waltham School of Watch Making, Waltham, Mass., Class of 1943. After graduation, he taught at the school until 1948. In 1949, he opened his own watch repair business in Bangor and in 1971 his son, Keith, joined him in the business. Andy retired in 2008. He was proud that his son took over ownership and will continue to operate at their Central Street location. Andy was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, all wild life and his camp at Beech Hill Pond. Surviving are one son, A. Keith Taber; a granddaughter, Shana M. DiNapoli; great granddaughter, Jenniece Lawhon, all of Bangor; two brothers, Albert and Valentino Taber, both of Connecticut; nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Ruth, who died in 2009, he was predeceased by a sister, Olga. Services entrusted to Brookings-Smith Funeral Home.
