Aus Find A Grave: George Theodore Smith GEBURT 25 Okt 1874 Randolph, Cattaraugus County, New York, USA TOD 8 Mai 1942 (im Alter von 67) Titusville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, USA BESTATTUNG Woodlawn Cemetery Titusville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, USA GEDENKSTÄTTEN-ID 193359486 son of Edward Smith and Emma Tyler; husband of Elizabeth M Nonnenman "George T Smith Dies at Home - Well Known Resident Of South Side Had Been Ill for Three Years - George T Smith, well-known resident of Titusville, died at 11 o'clock last night at his home, 133 West Bloss street. He had been in failing health for three years and for the past week his condition was serious. Mr Smith was employed as a master mechanic at the Forge Works for about twenty years, retiring four years ago. Before coming to Titusville 24 years ago, he was engaged in the drilling contracting business in the Oklahoma oil fields for 20 years. Although he was not a member, Mr Smith attended St Paul's Reformed church. He possessed a jovial nature and was exceptionally fond of children. The neighborhood children often came to his home and generally were treated. Mr Smith was a son of Edward and Emma Smith and was born at Randolph, NY. In young manhood he married Miss Elizabeth M Nonneman (sic) [Nonnenman] of Titusville, who survives, with one son, Dale Smith of Camp Livingston, La. One sister, Miss Anna Smith of Chicago, also survives. Services in his memory will be conducted at 2:30 pm Monday from the home. Interment will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
