Hazel E. Lowhigh, 74, of Acme RD1, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 1995, at the Hilltop Manor, Donegal. She was born Jan. 24, 1921, in Acme, a daughter of the late John and Luzetta Palmer Lankey. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George Lowhigh; a daughter, Georgie Jean Lowhigh; a son, Casey Lee Lowhigh; an infant grandson; two brothers, John and Ivan Lankey; and a sister, Mildred Kuhns; and an infant sister. She is survived by three sons, Brinley ``Bink'' Lowhigh and George Lowhigh Jr., both of Normalville and Zandy Lowhigh of Acme; two daughters, Mrs. Duane (Audrey) Overly and Mrs. Reuben (Holly) Sanner, both of Acme; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; a brother, Norman Lankey of Pleasant Unity; and a sister, Ruthora Traugh of Acme. Friends will be received at the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. David Morrison officiating. Interment will follow in the Byerly-Freeman Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Township.
