Born in Refugio, Texas, September 29, 1926 to Arthur and Almeida Henkhaus. He graduated Texas A&M with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Driscoll worked for Exxon Corp. for 40 yrs which took him around the world in the off shore oil business. He married Joann Mansfield in 1953. Together they raised four children: Mary Jane, Jimmy, Martha and John. After Joann passed away in 1997, Driscoll came to Galveston to rekindle a relationship he had as a student at A&M with recently widowed Doris McKenzie. They were married in 1998 and resided in Galveston for the remainder of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joann, brother Weldon Henkhaus and son John and daughter Mary Jane. Driscoll is survived by his wife, Doris McKenzie Henkhaus, children, Martha Houghton (husband Kevin), Spring, TX and James Henkhaus, Covington, LA. Also, stepsons Michael and Robert Mckenzie. Grandchildren include Alyssa and Brianna Houghton, Samantha Ashley and Dalton Henkhaus, along with several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Graveside services were held in Covington, LA.
