6 Jan 2011 Oxnard, Ventura, Caifornia, USA Lois Dorothy Link - - Born in Chicago, Ill., Sept. 8, 1918. Passed peacefully into God's eternal care on Jan. 6, 2011 in Oxnard. Beloved wife of the late Charles T. Link Jr.; loving mother of Barbara Burke and the late William Burke, Doria Fanning and husband Vladimir; caring sister of Arloa Kelsen; devoted grandmother to William and Kerry Bernard, Deanna Bernard, Stephen and Courtney Burke, Shelli and Bill Griffin, Staci Burke; great-grandmother to Marcus and Alex Bernard, Jackson and Reagan Burke, Kennedy and Lincoln Burke and Jason and Jared Griffin. Lois' fondest memories were at her Lutheran Church Camp in Arcadia, Mich. Her dearest love was drawing and painting; she was offered a fashion illustrator position in Chicago. Lois and Charles were avid ballroom dancers and kayakers. She enjoyed reading, mythology, gardening, cooking, was excellent at crossword puzzles and had an elegant sense of fashion. Lois was an active and faithful member of the Lutheran Church all her life holding many service positions. Devotion and care to her family was paramount in her life and what she was most proud of. Her family and friends loved her dearly and she lives in our hearts forever. The funeral and graveside ceremony were held at Mt. Vernon Memorial Chapel in Fair Oaks, Calif., on Jan. 22, 2011.
