Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin. Roy was born Monday, Dec. 27, 1926, in Pittsburgh, Penn., to Ernst and Wilhelmina Gerstner Lache. He attended school in Pittsburgh, Penn. He joined the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. He married Ruth Dorothy Beilstein on Aug. 1, 1946, in Pittsburgh. Roy worked for Gulf Oil Co. as a truck driver for 30 years. He lived in Pennsylvania, Arizona and California before moving to Rush Springs four years ago. Roy was the past master of Perry Ionic #796 F&AM; a Loyal Order of the Moose member, and American Legion Post #61 member. He was an avid reader and lover of facts and dates. He enjoyed painting and gardening. Roy was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Duncan. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Lache of the home; three daughters, Ruth Ann Cleary of Rush Springs, Pamela Sue Gartner and husband Dennis of Sparks, Nev., and Lisa Lynn Lache of San Diego, Calif.; five grandchildren, Jay F. Cleary and wife Jana of Marlow, Matthew Scott Cleary and wife Erica of Apache, Timothy Ivan Gartner and wife Julissa of Sparks, Bret Curtis Woelfel of San Diego, and Katy Ann Woelfel of San Francisco, Calif.; five great-grandchildren, Dionee Alexander Cortes-Gartner, Camry Ann Cleary, Emily Laine Cleary, Dyanara Mia Ramirez-Gartner, and Haley Cheyenne Atkins; a brother, Eric Lache of Pittsburgh; four sisters, Ella Spelman of Kent, Ohio, Sylvia Dennison of North Huntington, Penn., Irma Planic of Pittsburgh, and Lois Bruce of Lewisville, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Audrey Bechtold of Talmage, Penn.; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers, Ernst Lache, Paul Lache, Ralph Lache and Karl Lache. Bearers will be Eric Lache, Jay F. Cleary, Matthew Scott Cleary, Timothy Ivan Gartner, Bret Curtis Woelfel, Katy Ann Woelfel and Karl Lache. Honorary bearers are Ella Spelman, Sylvia Dennison, Irma Planic and Lois Bruce.
