Notes for this person

Birth: May 30, 1923 Nevada, USADeath: Mar. 30, 2014 Ursula Oxborrow Ramsay entered this life as a beautiful baby girl to Ellen Wakeling Oxborrow and George All, en Oxborrow May 30, 1923. She was the youngest of nine amazing children that lived wonderful lives in Lund, Nev. She enjoyed all that farming and ranching had to offer adventurous young people in a small hometown community. She married one of her best childhood friends, Henry L. Ramsay in 1940 and moved to St. George, Utah to raise two energetic children, Jerry L. and Judy Kaye. They moved to Boulder City in 1944 so that Henry could work with the Bureau of Mines. Ursula raised their children and enjoyed being a part of the small town charm that made her love Boulder City so much. She joined organizations such as the Elks Lodge and was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked for 30 years at the U.S. Postal Service and received multiple awards for safe driving of the little postal truck as she made Boulder City's daily mail deliveries. Ursula loved to spend time at her family cabin in Pine Valley, Utah, and enjoyed having her grandkids surround her as often as possible. Family was of the utmost importance to her and she made sure the family reunions created spectacular memories for all. She loved oil painting, quilting, sewing, playing honky-tonk piano, hiking, fishing, hunting, jewelry making, gardening and playing cards. She loved to have fun and had many friends. The joyous family reunion that took place March 30, 2014 in Heaven, was one fabulous welcome home. Ursula joined her mother, father, all eight brothers and sisters, her loving husband and both her son and daughter. Waiting here on Earth until the next Heavenly Reunion are her six grandchildren, JL, Park, Wendy, Polly, Jill and TJ; along with her nine great-grandchildren; and one very special great-great granddaughter. She was also blessed with phenomenal spouses for each of her children and grandchildren, who grew to love her deeply. Families are forever and we all lovingly look forward and upward until we meet again. Services were previously held.
