Elroy Austin Knickle, 58, Gold River, died Wednesday, June 9, 1999, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII, Halifax. Born in Blue Rocks, he was a son of the late Kenneth and Iona (Knickle) Knickle. He owned and oeprated Knickle Brothers Ultramar service station, Bridgewater Road, Lunenburg, for 34 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Anglican Church, Gold River. He is survived by his wife, the former Mabel Hiltz; daughter Wendy and husband Jack Skinner, Spectacle Lake; son, Kevin and wife Tara, Chester Basin; grandchildren, Nicholas and Cole. He was predeceased by a brother, Basil. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg, with visitation this evening from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday from St. Martin's Anglican Church, Martins River, Rev. Michael Mitchell officiating. Interment will be in St. Martin's Anglican Church Cemetery, Martins River. Flowers from the immediate family only.
