Born in Crouse's Settlement, he was a son of the late Michael and Beatrice (Croft) Crouse. He was a former farmer and had operated a mill in Crouse's Settlement. He was a janitor and bus driver at Centre Consolidated School, and later worked for many years with National Sea Products, Lunenburg, until his retirement. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Middle LaHave, and was a member of the Church Council of St. Mark's, Rose Bay Lutheran Parish Council, and Bluenose GRS Society. He was a volunteer worker for Dayspring District Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, the former Ruby Woodworth; two sons, Bruce, Timberlea; Ross, Head of St. Margaret's Bay; a sister, Mrs. Mary Ross, Lunenburg; four grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers, Gordon, St.Clair, Roy. The body is in Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg. Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Middle LaHave, Rev. Joe Williams officiating. Burial will be in the family cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
