Rinn Henry C. Rinn, 69, prominent Lodi pharmacist and businessman, died in his home at 1321 W. Oak St. Friday morning following an apparent heart attack. Mr. Rinn grew up on a farm near Fergus Falls, Minn., and moved with his parents, the late Henry and Margaret Rinn, to Lodi in 1904. He attended Salem School and graduated from Lodi Union High School and the University of California School of Pharmacy at the UC Medical Center in San Francisco. As a youngster, he pumped the bellows of the first pipe organ in Lodi, the Methodist Church organ, and worked changing scenery in the former opera house where Newfield & Sons depaqrtment store is now located. His long career as a pharmacist began when he went to work for Sam Zimmerman at his drugstore at 16 W. Pine St. He koined the Navy and served as a pharmacist's mate in 1918 and four years later purchased an interest in Zimmerman's Pharmacy. He retired from business in 1959, ending a careen which ad served five generations of Lodi families. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ella Rinn of Lodi; a son, Jerry Rinn; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Schmidt; five grandchildren; a brother, Albert Rinn; and four sisters, Miss Ida Rinn, Miss Martha Rinn, Mrs. William Troutner and Mrs. Emil Spiekerman.
