Friedrich var født i Sæd den 2o.9.1891 som søn af banear-
bejder Friedrich Gasenzer og hustru Caroline født Braun.
Friedrich var gift og havde 2 små børn, da han som 23 årig
blev indkaldt til krigstjeneste i 1. verdenskrig. Han gjorde
tjeneste som husar i 18. husarregiment ved østfronten i
Rusland. Han blev hårdt såret og kom i russisk krigsfan-
genskab. Han døde i Rogatschew mellem den 21.8.1915 og
den 3.9.1915 i en alder af 24 år.
