Friederike wurde 1764 mit<span> </span><a style="font-size: 17px; text-decoration: none; color: #03346c; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;" href="https://www.lagis-hessen.de/de/subjects/idrec/sn/bio/id/6723">Ludwig Christian von Pretlack</a><span> </span>verheiratet, einem Sohn des Generals<span> </span><a style="font-size: 17px; text-decoration: none; color: #03346c; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;" href="https://www.lagis-hessen.de/de/subjects/idrec/sn/bio/id/1790">Johann Rudolf von Pretlack</a>, der um 1700 mit Landgraf Ernst Ludwigs „Leibgarde zu Pferd“ die hessische Kavallerie aufgebaut hatte. Ludwig hatte seine Offiziers-Karriere wie der ältere Bruder Franz in Württemberg begonnen, war 1748 kaiserlicher Oberst, ein Jahrzehnt später wie einst der Vater Generalfeldmarschall geworden. Mit der Heirat zum wirklichen Kammerherrn in Darmstadt ernannt, lebte man in der Folge vorwiegend auf dem von den Bernstorffs geerbten Besitz in Fränkisch-Crumbach, wo auch die drei Kinder der Ehegeboren wurden.
