Edna Margarethe Rebecca Maria HUSTEDT

Edna Maria Vring, daughter of Christian and Louise Hustedt, was born onAug. 7, 1899, on a farm near Hanover. She was baptized in September 3,1899, by Rev. H. Wehking and became a member of St. John's Lutheran Church at Hanover by the right of confirmation on March 16, 1913. She received her elementary education at the Hanover school. She was united inmarriage to John Vring on May 3, 1936, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alta. To this union were born two sons, Harry Milton who died in infancy on Dec. 16, 1936, and Ray of Alta. She lived on a farm north of Alta until October of 1951 when she moved to Alta where she made her homethe rest of her life. She passed away on Nov. 12 at the Alta Memorial hospital after a brief illness at the age of 71 years three months and five days. She was preceded death by her husband, parents and a brotherMilton. She is survived by her son Ray, a daughter-in-law, Caroline andfive grandchildren, Mary, Judy, John, Diane and Michelle also other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held from St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alta on Nov. 14, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Eugene Kemp officiating. Hymns were sung by the congregation with Mrs. Georgia Johnson asorganist. Attendants were Walter Linge, Earl Otto, Marvin Radke, William Mohn, Arthur Radke and Earl Hustedt.
