Louise Emma (Meyer) Fischer, 91 of Grand Island died on January 23, 2022. Services will be held at 11 AM February 5, 2022 at Trinity LutheranChurch. Visitation will begin at 10 AM. Pastor Dan Myers will officiatewith Pastor Adam Snoberger assisting. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Louise was born on January 27, 1930 to Hermann and Clara (Rippe) Meyer at home near Ludell, Kansas. Louise was baptized, attended Trinity Lutheran School and was confirmed on April 2, 1944. Louise attended St. John’s College in Winfield, Kansas to obtain her high school diploma. She attended Concordia Teachers College in Seward, Nebraska and taught two years at the Lutheran school near Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Wichita, Kansas. Louise was the assistant to the comptroller at the University of Nebraska for one year before marrying Frederick Fischer on August 10, 1952 (at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ludell). They lived in Sylvan Grove, KS; Falls City, NE; North Platte, NE and settled in Grand Island. Louise worked in various positions for NashFinch, Norwest and US Banks. Louise was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Frederick. She is survived by her four daughters, Connilee and Rev. Daniel Myers of Wichita, KS, Carol and Marvin Kirchner ofGrand Island, Janelle Fredrick of Bellevue and Janet and Tim Zuehlke ofGrand Island, NE; nine grandchildren and spouses, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Louise was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, LutheranWomen’s Missionary League, Wednesday Bible class, Lutheran Laymen’s League and helped create church banners. Louise enjoyed sewing, baking, family get-together, church, and friends.
