He immigrated to the United States in 1879 according to the 1900& 1910 United States census reports probably with his sister Margaret.Henry worked for the Parks Department. He married Mary Schwemer on November 26, 1887 in Cook County, Illinois. Mary Schwemer the daughter of Frederick and Henrietta Schroeder Schwemer was born August 4, 1865 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. Mary passed away March 7, 1943 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. Henry and Mary are buried at Wunders Cemetery,Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. They are the parents of eleven children: Anna Fiddelke, Henry Frederick Fiddelke, Frederick Fiddelke, WilliamFiddelke, Henrietta F. Fiddelke, Clara Fiddelke, Elsie E. Fiddelke, Ida B. Fiddelke, Walter Karl Fiddelke, Lillian Margaret Fiddelke and Arthur Walter Fiddelke.
