Funeral services for Kathe Fiddelke were held at 2 PM Friday, November20, 1992, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina, Iowa with the Rev. Stephen Kamprath officiating. The pallbearers were Mike Hohbach, MarlinSjaarda, Larry Hoger, Todd Fiddelke, Wally Simms and Bob Puhrmann. Interment was in the Prairie View Cemetery, Paullina, Iowa, under the careof the Gaudian, Eldridge funeral home and of Paullina. Kathe Fiddelke,the daughter of Robert and Alvina Both Meyer, was born March 6, 1903, in Pipestone County, Minnesota. She moved with her family to the Paullina area where she received her education. On February 28, 1926, she wasunited marriage to Albert Fiddelke in Worthington, Minnesota. After themarriage, the couple settled in Paullina, where Kathe made her home for many years. She moved to the Millie's Rest home in Sutherland in October of 1988. She passed away at the home on Wednesday, November 18, 1992, reaching the age of 89 years, eight months and 12 days. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith on April 5, 1903, in Ward, South Dakota, andlater confirmed on April 16, 1916, at Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina. She was currently a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. Kathe leavesto cherish her memory one son, Verdis of Arlington, Texas; one daughtersix grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Alice Carlson of Sanborn; also a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents and seven brothers and sisters. This information was published by the Paullina Times, November 26, 1992. KW
