Lucile Johanna Harris was born Nov. 18, 1926 in Cheney, Kan., to the late Herman and Katharina Semsroth . She was reborn a child of God in thewaters of holy baptism on Nov. 21, 1926 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Cheney. Lucile spent her early years on a farm near Cheney, then the family moved into the town of Cheney, where she received her schooling atWhitehall.
On June 15, 1947, Lucile married Bill C. Harris and they enjoyed 55 years of happiness. Lucile was a devoted and faithful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She found great joy and pride in her family. She was faithful in worship at Bethany Lutheran Church, where she had placed her membership.
Survivors: husband, Bill C. Harris; sons and daughters-in-law, Bill C.Jr. and Sheila Harris, Ron R. and Diana Harris; sisters and brother-in-law, Judy and Ted Razook, Louise Semsroth , Dorothy Stoehr; grandchildren, Katie Harris, Christopher Harris, Stephen Harris, Adam Taylor, Andrea Harris, Aaron Taylor; great-grandchild, Kylie Harris all of Wichita.Memorial established with Bethany Lutheran Church.
