Donald Allen Bohlmann, 83, of Front Royal, VA, died on Monday, September 10, 2012, at his home.
A tractor accident took the life an 83-year-old man on Browntown Road near Front Royal Monday afternoon.
A press release from Warren County Sheriff department identified the victim as Donald Allen Bohlmann.
Sheriff's deputies responded to a call in the 6000 block of Browntown Road, it was reported. Deputies arrived at the scene to find Mr. Bohlmann pinned under a mower. Members of the Warren County Fire and Rescue Service arrived and pronounced Bohlmann dead at the scene, according to the Sheriff's press release.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 14, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by The Rev. Cameron Keyser. Burialwill follow at Panorama Memorial Gardens with military honors.
Mr. Bohlmann was born July 27, 1929 in Iroquois County, IL, son of thelate Martin and Gertrude Weiss Bohlmann. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He attained the rank of Sergeant withCompany E, 8th Calvary, 1st Cavalry Division. He retired as a flight engineer from Pan Am Airlines after 33 years of dedicated service. He wasa member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Stephens City, Front Royal VFWPost 1860, and the NRA.
Surviving are his wife, Bobbi Shifflett Bohlmann of Front Royal; one son, Raymond Bohlmann and wife Georgia of Front Royal; three daughters, Rhonda Grim and husband Terry of Stephens City, Kristi Comer and husbandTodd of Bristow, VA, and Brandy Prieto and husband Feliciano of Strasburg, VA; six brothers; four sisters; seven grandchildren, Samantha Brittain of Stephens City, Ashleigh Bohlmann of Celebration, FL, Kaleb Comer of Manassas, Seth Comer of Bristow, Zachary Ryman of Strasburg, AaronGrim of Stephens City, and Brett Bohlmann of Front Royal; and one great-grandson, Kaiden Comer of Manassas.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be sons-in-law and grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home.
