Dick was born in Germany and emigrated in 1898.
He married Anna Stubenschmidt.
They had at 18 children, of whom 3 died the day they were born (Carl, Fritz, and martha), and one son, Fritz, who was killed in WWII.
The other children were Henry, Sophie, Dora, Ella, Paulina, Alma, hermina, Richard, Clara, Walter, Margaret, Reinhold, and Norman.
Dick's siblings were Doris who married Henry Cordes; Sophie who marriedHenry Bartels; Fritz who remained in Germany; Henry who was always called Uncle Rook
His parents were August Bormann and Margarethe Otersen. I think they are buried in the Ottertail cemetery. Margarethe's sister was Doris, whomarried Fritz Ohlrogge, who lived on Portage Lake.
