Also on the Bark Potomac were Catherine's mother, father, brothers, sisters, and nephews and nieces. They went to Jasper, Dubois, Indiana. Catherine was listed as age 24 from Bavaria. The Bark Potomac departed Le Havre, France. She immigrated to the U.S. with her parents, departing from Le Havre, France, aboard the Potomac; and arrived at Baltimore, Maryland, on October 18, 1836. There she married Heinrich/Henry Lang two days later (he had also arrived on the Potomac). They lived in Indiana and/or Illinois before settling on a farm near Sherrill's Mount (now Sherrill), Dubuque, Iowa.
