Richard Herman MOENING

Richard, 79, Ottawa, died at 1:30 a.m. Friday, at The Meadows of Ottawa. He was the son of Leander B. and Alberta L. (Ricker) Moening. On Sep 26, 1959, he married Carol Roby, who survives in Ottawa. Also surviving are a son, Rick, Ottawa; four daughters: Tonnie (Dan) Leopold and Terri (Jay) Warnecke, both Ottawa, Lorrie (Mike) Niese, Middle Point, and Amy (Ben) Ellerbrock, Leipsic; four brothers: Ray (Joan), Ft. Jennings, Denny (Linda) and Gary (Kathy), both Ottawa, and Mike (Jane) Moening, Kalida; three sisters: Barbara Kleman, Ottawa, Janet Peck, Leipsic, Donna (Gary) Miller, Bluffton; a brother-in-law, Richard Cramer; and ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Deceased are a daughter, Julie; a sister linked below; and a brother-in-law, Norm Kleman. A contractor, he was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, and a member of Ottawa’s Eagles. He loved woodworking, camping and fishing, playing horseshoes, vacationing in Florida, old country music and putting puzzles together with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, with Rev. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
