Mrs. Carl (Martha) Tomhave, 504 W. Stanton, died at Lake Region Hospital Sunday at the age of 80.
Funeral services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church Tuesday at 2 pm with the Rev. Donald Knick officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl F. Schiermann, she was born in Friberg Township June 11, 1891. She was first married to Emil Laak who died April 1, 1925. On Jan 11, 1936 she was married to Carl Tomhave. His death occurred Nov 17, 1959. For a number of years Mrs. Tomhave lived on a farm in the French area before moving to Fergus Falls.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Ehrhardt of Marshalltown, IA, Mrs. Elna Tomhave of Wyoming, MI; three step-daughters and two step-sons, Mrs. J. F. (Dorothy) Snyder of Minneapolis, Mrs. E. P. (Mildred) Coone of Minneapolis, Mrs. N. A. (Myrtle) Hansen of Marshalltown, IA, Harold of Marshalltown, IA, and Raymond of Wyoming, MI. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. John (Anna) Drechsel, and two brothers, Henry and Charles Schiermann, all of Fergus Falls. Visitation at the Glende-Johnson-Nelson Funeral Home today and Tuesday until time of service.
