Im Buch " Early Families of York County Pennsylvania Volume 2 " von Keith Dull auf Seite 78 und 79 erscheint folgender Beitrag: Jacob was bapt. by Reverend Daniel Schuhmacher on Oct. 29, 1755, sponsored by Anthony and Elisabeth Pettersheimer. He was on the tax lists of Albany Twp. in 1754, 1758, and 1759. In 1758, he is listed as poor. Jacob moved to York Co., Shrewsbury Twp. PA with his brother Daniel in 1765. Jacob was a weaver and yeoman. In 1779, he had 70 acres, two horses, and one head of cattle; in 1780 and 1781, 100 acres, two horses, and three cattle; in 1782, he had 50 acres, two horses, and threecattle; and in 1783, 100acres with four inhabitants in the household. During the Revolutionary War, Jacob served as a Private in the York Co. Militia, Captain John Ehrman"S Company in 1776 and 1778.
