Notes for this person
Warren C. Nester, 5537 Route 873, Schnecksville, formerly of Tamaqua and Lynnport, died Wednesday at his home. Born in Albany Township, Berks County, he was a son of the late Robert and Bertha Leibensberger Nester. He was employed in the maintenance department of the former Kutztown Foundry, Kutztown, for 40 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Salem Bible Fellowship Church, Lehighton; Lynnport Fire Company; Walnutport, Schnecksville, Woodlawn and Keen Agers senior citizens of Laury's Station. Surviving are his wife, the former Arlene M. Hoppes, to whom he was married 46 years; a son, Dennis W., Tamaqua; a stepdaughter, Darlene G. Matthias, Allentown; a brother, Russell, Kutztown; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Snyders. The Rev. William H. Bartron will officiate. Interment will be in Zion's Union Stone Church Cemetery, RD2 New Ringgold. Obituary: Potttsville Republican (no date given).
