Malcolm Guy HICKMAN

Guy Hickman, 79 years old, a native of Knox County who had lived the last five years with a sister-in- law, Mrs. R. V. Hickman, at Shelbina, died at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon, June 17,1962, in Pleasant Hill Rest Home at Shelbyville. He had a stroke Easter Sunday and had been in ill health since. Funeral services were Tuesday afternoon at the Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina and burial was at Plevna. Besides the sister-inlaw, Mrs. Hickman, he is survived only by nieces and nephews as he was the last member of his family. He was born in Plevna, a son of Henry and Harriet Hickman, and he had lived in Denver, Colo., for many years where he was employed at a hospital. Mr. Hickman, who was never married, was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. He was a 50-year member of the Moose. EDINA (Mo.) SENTINEL AND KNOX COUNTY DEMOCRAT, 21 June 1962, p. 1.
