Notes for this person
Betty Brown Curtis, 93, of Largo, Florida, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018. Betty was born in Danville, Illinois to Allen R. and Lottie M. Hickman. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ervin M. Brown of Wadsworth, Ohio, and George E. Curtis of Largo, Florida. Betty is survived by her daughters, Susan Lynn Shoyat of Farmington, Minnesota, Sandy Brown Wybel of Tarpon Springs, Florida, Sheryl Lou Heacock (Jim) of Dublin, Ohio, and Sally Lisa Brown of Longmont, Colorado; a sister, Peggy Hickman Linne Butler of Cape Coral, Florida; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A dedicated mother, Betty loved her family dearly. She enjoyed traveling to new places with her friends, but especially loved trips to visit her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed working with others and held jobs in the Wadsworth School Administrative offices, Babcock and Wilcox and Cadaret Grant Investments. After retiring, Betty served as a board member and officer for the Sandpipers Club of Largo. We will never forget the legacy of strength, dedication and love she left us.
