CAROL LEANNE "ANNIE" SMITH, 39, of Springfield, died unexpectedly Sunday morning, November 30, 2008 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center, East High Campus. She was born in Urbana on November 11, 1969 the daughter of Tom E. and Carolyn E. (Morris) Circle. Annie was a graduate of Urbana High School and attended Urbana University. She was currently working at Assurant Group and previously worked at Lazarus for over ten years. Survivors include her mother, Carolyn E. Circle of Enon; husband of fifteen years, Frank Bryan Smith III; a daughter, Audrey Grace Smith; a son, Frank Bryan Smith IV; a sister, Lisa E. Circle of Enon; a brother, Brian T. (Sue) Circle of New Carlisle; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Janet Smith of Springfield; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. A gathering to celebrate Annie's life will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. No funeral services will be observed
