Zola Ann ZIRKLE

Obituary from The Topeka Capital-Journal Services will be 1 p. m. Tuesday at Tibbitts-Griffin Funeral Chapel for Zola A. Zirkle, 87, Topeka, who died Friday, Sept. 15, 1989, at a Topeka hospital. Miss Zirkle worked for Santa Fe Railway as a comptroller 38 years. She was born March 21, 1902, in Richland, the daughter of John H. and Mary I. Largent Zirkle. She attended Harveyville schools and returned to Richland after graduation. She moved to Topeka in 1956. Miss Zirkle was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women at the church, Beulah Chapter No. 34 of Order of Eastern Star, and Topeka Council No.1 of Ancient Toltec Rite. Survivors include two nephews, Wayne Woodward, Phoenix; and retired Lt. Col. Eldon Woodward, Lancaster, Calif.; and a niece, Phylis Worthington, Tecumseh. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Richland.
