Gladys Olivia (Zerkle) Davis, 89, of Urbana, passed away due to a long illness Friday, July 27, 2007 in Mercy Memorial Hospital, Urbana. She was born December 25, 1917 in Champaign County, Ohio the daughter of Lewis E & Gertrude (Neese) Zerkle. Gladys was a member of the Urbana United Methodist Church. She was a very loving wife for 72 years and had many dear friends. She is survived by her husband, Woodrow Davis; two nieces, Irene Willis and Veronica Gardner of St. Paris; one nephew, Jed Landenburg of Conover; two great nieces, Ondalee Goings and Sharon Quisenberry of St Paris; four great nephews, Rocky Basey of Sidney, Dean Basey of Rosewood, Randy Landenburg of Piqua and Rick Landenburg of Conover; and several other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; and three brothers.
