Notes for this person
Petra: in 1881, three years after the last child was born, Johanne Augustine Dorothe suddenly died at the age of 45. Christoff died likewise just a few months following his wife. The oldest son of this couple, Gerhard Wilhelm Julius, now an orphan, moved at age 15 to Peine, to the relatives of his mother. He learned cabinetmaking.
At the age of 37 he had to go to prison! He was sentenced in 1903 to 2 years plus 2 weeks in prison. He suffered the loss of honor for 4 years and verification under police supervision {probably a parole} for 5 years. He wanted to go to Hamburg and the police in Altona (suburb of Hamburg) handed him over.
