Elisabeth Dittrich geb. Eidam wurde unehelich von Wilhelm Friedrich Dittrich schwanger. Dieser kam aus Breslau und war in der Nähe von Marburg an der Lahn auf Übung. Dort lernte er Elisabeth kennen. Er musste dann zurück nach Breslau. Elisabeth fuhr, als sie merkte, dass sie schwanger ist, mit ihrer Mutter nach Breslau, und suchte nach Wilhelm Friedrich. Sie fand ihn und sie heirateten und bekamen noch zwei weitere Kinder. Im Januar 1945 flüchteten sie vor den Soldaten in den Westen Richtung Marburg an der Lahn.
