Philadelphia Woman Dies on Visit

MAHANOY CITY, Pa., Oct. 6. - While

on a visit to her sister, Mrs. Christiana

Hersker, here, Mrs. Catharine Stirm, a

Philadelphian, died today after a brief

illness. Mrs. Stirm, who was 76 years old,

came up from Philadelphia two weeks

ago, hoping that the change of climate

would restore her failing health. Funeral

services will be held on Thursday at the

home of her daughter, Mrs. Pauline Barber,

in Philadelphia.
