Peter's d. rec says he was born; 12 Mar 1959 (Agnes Meyer notes says b. 3-10-1859. He was 69 when he died.

His family lived in rural Peshtigo area. When Peter was 3 years old he became lost in the wood and was found six weeks later living with Indians and in good health. At the time of the Peshtigo fire 8 Oct 1871, Peter was12 years old and

working in DePere,WI.

During the fire, Adam and Catherine and the children stayed in a shallow well filled with water and covered with a wet mattress.

The children were Peter,Casper,Nicklaus,Francis Joseph,Edward and Kathryn.(twins).

After the fire, Adam and Catherine had four more children, Anna Marie, Gertrude, John Timothy and Michael.

Description	Im Jahr 1852 wanderten fast alle Einwohner des Ortes Allscheid/Eifel nach USA aus. Auf diesen merkwürdigen Umstand bin ich bei der (erfolgreichen) Suche nach den Vorfahren eines Amerikaners gestossen. Die vermutete Verwandschaft bestätigte sich zwar nicht, aber dennoch sind inzwischen viele Nachfahren dieser Allscheider Auswanderer zum Datenbestand hinzugekommen, so dass ich diesen hiermit zur Verfügung stellen möchte.
