THEODORE A. KRAUSS DIED SUDDENLY


Passed away at the Family Home in

B Street on Wednesday Morning


Theadore A. Krauss, a well known and respected resident of thevillage died suddenly at the family home in B street, north on Wednesdaymorning about 5 o'clock.

The deceased had not been feeling well during the previous eveningand had complained of a pain across his chest when he returned from uptown the previous evening. He said very little about it and both he andMrs. Krauss thought that it would wear off and he would be all right.About three o'clock in the morning he experienced a recurrance of thepains and after finding himself unable to sleep for some time got up andattended to the fire and had started back to bed when he fell to thefloor and in a few minutes expired.

The deceased was born in Putnam county Ohio April 30th,1857 and was58 years old. He with his family removed to Gaylord thirteen years agolast November.

He was a member of Laurel Arbor, Ancient Order of Gleaners in whichorganization he also carried an insurance.

The deceased is survived by a widow, two sons and five daughters- Rayand Clell Krauss, Mrs. Louis Noirot, Levina, Hazel, Myrtle and Edith, allof whom, except Mrs. Noirot, residing at home. He is also survived bytwo brothers, P. M. Krauss of Finley, O., who arrived here on Thursdaymorning and H. J. Krauss of Leipsic. Mrs. John Konst of Leipsic a niece,also came on Thursday morning to attend the funeral.

The funeral services were held on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock andwere largely attended, the Rev. C. A. Lohnes, pastor of the Methodistchurch, officiating. The burial was in Fairview.
