Notes for this person

From Henk Wolda 2.28.2012 No siblings of Jacob Rychen are given. However, considering the generally large families in that place and time, it is highly likely that there were such siblings. Jacob was born in Frutigen in 1542, two years after a Gwer Rychen also in Frutigen. The oldest (known) son of both is Hans or Johannes Rychen, so my speculation is that Gwer and Jacob are brothers and that their father was possibly named Johannes Rychen. BrunoSteinle tells me that Jacob and Gwer are probably not brothers as thy lived in different villages. A possible third brother is Matheus Rychen, born ca 1540 in Frutigen, whose oldest known son is also a Hans Rychen. A possible fourth brother is Hans Rychen, born ca 1542 in Frutigen, married to Agnes N.. A Tryna Rychen, orn ca 1533 who in 1554 married in Frutigen with Melker Bruegger. She could be a sister of the 4 "brothers" lister above Please realize that all this is pure speculation, so don't take it too seriously. There were more Rychen's in Frutigen at the time, e.g.. A Jakob Rychen, born ca 1536, married to Agnes Zahler (see a few data on this branch in this file). A Bastian Rychen who married Christina around 1550. I know of 3 children Christina, Barbara. and Anna A Margaritha Rychen, born ca 1557 in Frutigen, married Augustin Matter on Oct 31,1580 in Frutigen A Melander Rychen, born ca 1522 in Frutigen, married to Barbara, son Melcher Rychen, born jan 1555 in Frutigen A Melcher Rychen, brn ca 1522 who married Barbara (for some data on this line, see this file) A Michel Rychen, born ca 1528 Frutigen, married to Elsbeth N. They had at least 8 children A Johannes Rychen, born ca 1529 Kandersteg, m. Anna Kolben in June 1554. They had at least 5 children. Family relations are as yet not clear.
