Thomas C. Dolan, Former Joliet Resident, Dies
Thomas C. Dolan, 75 years old, a former resident of Joliet, died yesterday
at his residence in Chicago after a short illness.
Mr. Dolan was born in Joliet, receiving his early education here. For many
years he worked as a pressman on the old Joliet News. Thirty-five years ago
he went to Denver to work with the Western N. P. U., leaving there to retain
the same connection in Chicago for 15 years. During the last few years of
his life, Mr. Dolan was engaged in the printing business.
Surviving him are two sons, Virgil of Chicago and Thomas J. of Champaign,
one daughter, Mrs. Howard Whitmore of Johannsberg, South Africa; two
sisters, Mrs. Patrick Morrisey and Mrs. A. J. Seiter of Joliet.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 9 oclock in Chicago. Burial
will take place in Joliet at the Mt. Olivet cemetery.
