Venghaus, A. E. "Al" SANTA FE -- A. E. “Al” Venghaus, 75, died Thursday in Palestine, Texas. Service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at James Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, the Rev. Mack Lavine officiating. Burial will follow the service. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Venghaus was born April 29, 1911 in Altair, Texas. He was a resident of Santa Fe 36 years, formerly of Galveston. He was a retired carpet layer for Nu-way Carpet and Upholstery, member of Galveston County Beekeeper Association, member AARP Chapter 1314 of Santa Fe, past member Aldersgate United Methodist Church of Santa Fe, member Santa Fe Family Worship Center and Alta Loma Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include his wife, Annie Bell Venghaus of Santa Fe, daughter, Annabel Venghaus Williams of Clear Lake City; sons, Kenny Lee Venghaus, Alief, Doyle B. Venghaus, Spring. sisters Alpha Venghaus of Baytown, Idell Nash of Jackson, Miss., Cleo Teel of Highlands; and five grandchildren. -- The Galveston Daily New, April 11, 1967, page 4-A, Submitted by Terry Jackson
