Allan J. Mittler officiating. Friends may call at the Dike Funeral Chapel, Dike, on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m., on Thursday from 9-9, on Friday from 9-10:30 a.m., and at the church onehour prior to services.</p> <span style="color: #333333;"><span style="color: #333333;"></span></span> <p>Burial will be in the Reinbeck Cemetery, Reinbeck, with military graveside rites, by the Reinbeck American Legion.</p> <span style="color: #333333;"><span style="color: #333333;"></span></span> <p>Roscoe, the son of Tracy and Ethel Thompson Jones, was born on October 29, 1924, on a farm nearMorrison. He attended Washington Township Country School until the eighth grade, and then went on to graduate from Reinbeck High in 1943. He entered the U.S. Marine Corps in December of 1943, and wasdischarged in April of 1946.</p> <span style="color: #333333;"><span style="color: #333333;"></span></span> <p>On August 25, 1946, he was united in marriage to Florence Vogt, at the United Church of Christ in Reinbeck. He was actively engaged in farming in the Dike area.</p> <span style="color: #333333;"><span style="color: #333333;"></span></span> <p>He was baptized, and a member of the United Church of Christ in Reinbeck. Roscoe was a member of the Reinbeck American Legion, Dike Lions, and a former director of the Farms Co-op in Dike, and ASC Committee member.</p> <span style="color: #333333;"><span style="color: #333333;"></span></span> <p>He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Hazel Frikken, and two brothers, Harold, and Delbert.</p> <span style="color: #333333;"><span style="color: #333333;"></span></span> <p>He is survived by his wife, Florence; one son, Jerry, of Dike; one daughter, Nancy Sharp, of Grundy Center; one brother, Ralph of Reinbeck; and four grandchildren, Shane and Travis Sharp, and Jamie and Holly Jones.</p> <span style="color: #333333;"><span style="color: #333333;"></span></span> <p>A memorial fund has been established.</p> <span style="color: #333333;"><span style="color: #333333;"></span></span> <p>The Dike Funeral Chapel, in Dike, will be in charge of the professional arrangements.</p> <p><span style="color: #333333;">--The Grundy Register (Grundy Center, Iowa), 10 January 1991, pg 3</span></p> </blockquote> <p><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p align="CENTER"><small><em>Grundy Obituaries maintained by&nbsp;<a title="Email administrator">Tammy D.
