Zitat Winfried Griebling, Familiengeschichte Dammann von Mary Pat Dammann Morris, 1975:

"Louise Dammann Griebling was musically inclined. Also she did not play she and her husband were very active members of the A Capella Chorus - a very fine Milwaukee Classical Singing Society to which her brother, Theodore, and his wife also belonged.

Louise an her husband had many friends in the musical groups of Milwaukee, especially in church circles. They did a fair amount of socializing with such friends; entertaining them and being entertained. At that time, the German element was predominent in Milwaukee and with their German background they could fit into most levels of the social groups.

Obviously in such an environment their children had good musical education and their second son, Arthur, chose music as his profession. ...

Louise was an attractive woman. She was very well liked by her many friends, and even more so by her family. She was a wonderful wife and mother.

After Louise married Oscar Griebling, she became a member of Grace Church and was active in church activities and circles. ...

The entire Dammann family was quite family oriented. Dammann parties were common an well-liked, whether being hosted by one or the other of the six living brothers and sisters. ...

She (Louise) would probably like to be remembered as a Christian wife and mother - and that she was, and more.

P.S. According to the 75th Anniversary booklet Louise Dammann was the first teacher for the fourth class at the St. Jacobi School. This class was started in 1891 under the leadership of August Haise, principal."
