Katharina Sabina Luther gehört zur 11-köpfigen Geschwistergruppe dieser letzten Luther. Der jüngste männliche Luther war Martin Gottlob Luther, 1707-1759; er blieb unverheiratet. Nur der älteste der Brüderaus der Geschwisterreihe: Friedrich Martin Luther, 1686-1742, hatte Nachkommen, allerdings zwei Töchter: Johanna Erdmuthe Friederike L., die fallsüchtig ledig mit 20 Jahren starb (1727-1747); und Auguste Dorothea L., 1730-1807, war dann die letzte des Reformatorgeschlechts;
