Aug J. Heinrichs, 24, son of Wilh. Heinrichs & Wilhelmine (Schmidt) Heinrichs, & Anna Harms, 18, daughter of Christian Harms & Kathar. (Rodenburg) Harms, were married February 28, 1895 atBethlehem Lutheran Church, Kiowa Township, Thayer County, Nebraska. (Source: Bethlehem Lutheran Church records.)<br />==========================<br /><br />Conducted by Rev. D. Luebke, pastor of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, funeral services were held Friday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Kiowa, for Mrs. Anna Heinrichs, who died about 8:00 o'clock Monday evening, January 22. Interment was made in Kiowa Cemetery.<br /><br />Mrs. Heinrichs was born on February 24, 1878, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Harms, both of whom came from Hanover, Germany, and made their home near Kiowa. She was received into the Christian faith through baptism in the <br />Friedensau congregation.<br /><br />She received her education in the Christian day school at Kiowa, with the late Rev.J. Meyer as her teacher. Under the same instructor she also completed her confirmation classes and was confirmed March 30, 1890, at Kiowa.<br /><br />She remained with her parents until 1895, at which time she was married to August J. Heinrichs.<br /><br />They made their home near Kiowa, where they lived until the death of Mr. Heinrichs October 12, 1910. <br /><br />Their marriage had been blessed with seven children. Two children preceded their mother in death; namely, Elsa and Martin. <br /><br />Mrs. Heinrichs faithfully brought up her children until they were able to provide for themselves.<br /><br />The past several years she made her home with the children.<br />In 1936, Mrs. Heinrichs suffered a serve attack of the flu, <br />and never recovered her strength.<br /><br />Sufferingfrom pernicious anemia, her health gradually failed. Although she sought relief through the best medical care, little hope was offered for her recovery.<br /><br />She leaves to mourn her death, fivechildren, Mrs. Ella Lillich, Mrs. Emma Nehig, Mrs. Edith Keim, Arthur Heinrichs and Elmer Heinrichs, all of Davenport; four brothers and three sisters, Henry Harms of Detroit, Mich., Fred Harms of Davenport, Richard Harms and Gustav Harms of Melfort, Sask., Canada, Mrs. Sina Heineman of Mora, Mo., Mrs. Lydia Heinrichs of Carleton and Mrs. Louisa Flathman of Chester; and 13 grandchildren.
