Death of J. D. [sic] Brockman.

J.G. Brockman, who resided south west of Botkins, died Friday, May 8of cancer. He was in the sixtyseventh year of his life. Mr. Brockmanwas born in Hanover, Germany, November 25, 1836, and came to this countrywith his parents when he was six years old. They settled at New Bremanwhere he resided several years. April 29, 1858, he was married to MissSophia Hener at Richmond, Indiana. they had eleven children, eight ofwhom are living. His wife died September 20, 1882. He was as good andkind father, a neighbor of whom none could say aught against, alwaysready to do a goodly aot for friend or neighbor. Was a member ofImmanuel church at Kettlerville from which church his funeral took placeSunday, May 10. A large concourse of people followed him to his lastresting place. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Wm. Hauff.Interment in Schwaberow cemetery west of Kettlerville.
