Julitta ist wahrscheinlich der Klostername. Der Taufname ist nicht bekannt.

!Julitta erhielt 1895 die Profession als Ordenschwester im Kloster Braunsberg und wurde im Juni 1899 nach Brasilien geschickt. In der südlichen Provinz Brasiliens gab es verschiedene deutsche Siedlungen, die von Franziskanern und - eben - von Katharinenschwestern aus Braunsberg betreut wurden. Zu den Projekten, die Schwester M. Julitta initiierte und an denen sie zeitweise auch als Oberin tatkräftig mitwirkte, gehörten Schulen und Hospitäler in Petropolis bei Rio de Janeiro und Novo Hamburgo bei Porto Alegre.

ANMERKUNG

Bis 1814 war Auswanderung in Deutschland untersagt. 1845 - 1860 kam es zur ersten, 1880-1895 zur zweiten großen Auswanderungswelle nach Übersee. Dabei gehörte Brasilien nach den USA, Kanada und Australien zu den wichtigsten Zielpunkten deutscher Auswanderer in jener Zeit.
