Jay was named command officer of Co. A. 313th Infantry, local U.S. ArmyResere Unit. J. Henry enlisted in 1949, took basic training at Fort Dix,NJ, attended fire control School at Fort Bliss, TX. Later assigned to9th A.A.A. Bn. at Fort Devins, Mass. When it was testing the the newT-33 fire control equipment. He also served as commander of Battery B.of the 69th AAA Bn. at Fort Tilden New York, separated from service,December 1953. Enlisted in Army 1949, August. Jay died of Bulbar Mingitis.
